We've got another cracking line-up for this month's Watford Comedy Night here at the Pump House, on this Saturday night. Unfortunately, the previously advertised Esther Manito has had to pull out at the last minute but is being replaced by comedian, presenter, actor, writer and one of the much admired originals of the great British alternative comedy scene, Arthur Smith. So our full line-up for Saturday night is now:

JAMES COOK (Not the Explorer): Top Birmingham based comedian James Cook has been doing comedy for well over two decades, in the middle of which he did seven years as an NTL Award-winning commercial radio presenter. His act mixes jokes and sarcasm with a quick wit and excellent improvisation skills that make him an accomplished compere.

ARTHUR SMITH: Arthur has a consistently brilliant talent and ability to provide light entertainment whilst also still finding new and interesting ways to make people laugh. The list is too long to include everything but some of the shows you may remember include Grumpy Old Men, QI, Have I Got News For You, never Mind The Buzzcocks, Red Dwarf, Room 101 to name just a few. You may have also heard his voice on shows such as Life of Grime or Money For Nothing.

DINESH NATHAN: After winning several gong shows, Dinesh won South Coast Comedian Of The Year and was a finalist at the Komedia New Act competition and the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition. In 2022 Dinesh appeared on BBC 3’s New Comedian of the Year awards and Comedy Central Live.

CAREY MARX: Writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s Intensive Carey, twice winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, and Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominee. Carey recently performed his new show, Carey Carey Quite Contrary, at the Edinburgh Festival.
