our main theatre
The Pump House’s Main Theatre is a raked auditorium with 124 former National Theatre seats and wheelchair access from the side entrance. The theatre has no reduced visibility seats, all areas have a clear view of the stage. The theatre has fully equipped sound and lighting rigs, two backstage dressing rooms and a large, externally accessible scenery storage dock. The Roskilly Bar serves the auditorium and is available on performance nights for pre-show, interval, and after show drinks.

colne river studio
This space is ideal for music and dance performances. The room has no fixed seating and chairs can be arranged for a variety of shows. It can accommodate a small stage and seating for 100. There’s an adjacent bar for exclusive use of the show.
charles room
The Charles Room is an intimate performance space which can accommodate audiences of up to 30 people. It has a raised platform area, flexible seating and self-contained tea/coffee bar. It can also be hired out as an exhibition space for visual art.
rehearsal rooms
We have two rehearsal spaces that can be hired as part of a theatre hire booking or independently. Both spaces are large enough to replicate stage space. The upper rehearsal studio can also be hired out for use as a gallery or installation space.
